According the always well informed Taiwanese DigiTimes, Compal Communications is expected to manufacture the two so far unannounced but leaked 3G-enabled Windows Mobile based Pocket PC Phone Editions from Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the Pocket Loox T810 and T830.
Compal Communications is able to land the Fujitsu Siemens orders following the recent consolidation of the Personal Mobile Communications and Computing (PMCC) division of Compal Electronics, the paper said, noting that the PMCC unit gained its 3G technology from its cooperation with Motorola in the development of the never really released MPx Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition.

Although Fujitsu Siemens has not yet officially announced the specifications of the T810 and T830, the paper noted that the two models will offer functions similar to the HTC Universal. The paper indicated, quoting information leaked from the vendor, both models will run Windows Mobile 5.0, support GPRS and WCDMA. They will be powered by Intel's Bulverde XScale PXA 270 processor and have Bluetooth, GPS and 802.11b/g capabilities.

Compal Communications declined to comment on the report.

Cheers ~ Arne
