According to the Chinese-language Commercial Times, DigiTimes Taiwan reports that Quanta Computer is expected to begin volume shipments of PDA phones to Hewlett-Packer in the first half of this year!
According to the news, Quanta is expected to ship a revised version of O2's Xda Atom Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition, which was initially developed of O2.

The revised "HP Atom" Pocket PC Phone Edition should still come with the Microsoft's latest Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system, but will support the quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE standard, instead of the original tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE standard.

HP and Quanta are also in negotiations to expand the product lineups to include 3G-enabled PDA phones, the paper noted.
DigiTimes hadn't got a feedback from Quanta at the time of publication.

No further information are available by now.

Cheers ~ Arne
