Then you can bid for one at ebay.
Chris recently E-Mailed me about a HTC Typhoon cradle he designed for the Orange C500 (and similar devices) which he he wants to get your feedback:

Hi, found your posting expressing regret at the lack of a cradle with the SPV C500. I have designed one and am currently selling via ebay.

Would appreciate any thoughts you might have about the design.

Regards Chris

This cradle looks sweet and two of them are still available from ebay:

UK designed and made to fit your phone. The stable resin base and USB 2.0 cable makes sync and charging operations simple AND provides a home for your phone instead of dumping it on your desk.

WILL ALSO FIT SPV C500S, I-MATE SP3 AND QTEK 8010

So what do you think? How much do you miss a cradle for your phone (at least I know from my girlfriend that she misses it pretty much) and what do you think about the design? Please let Chris and me know.

Cheers ~ Arne

Looks good
Does this charge without a laptop connection?
I had an original SPV and made loadsa gadgets to charge it via USB cables e.g. AA portable battery chargers and in car chargers using cigarette lighter and usb cable

The C500 seems to not allow charging unless either:
a) it is connected to a PC with an active Activesync session running
or
b) it is using the supplied a/c power adapter

I would love to find out how I set up a usb cable to charge my SPV C500 so I can use all the gadgets I made for my original SPV

cheers

Ian

[1] check http://www.modaco.co.uk for info on this. There is a way to  enable charging without active sync, needs a switch of some kind. There is a thread about it over there.
