Earlier this week, Motorola announced several new phones (including to long awaited MPx220) and Rich Brome of Phone Scope an company event, held in New York City the the new models were showed off.
There he cached up some interesting news:

First, a quick note about what was not at the event - the MPx100. Unfortunately, Motorola officials confirmed that this device has officially been cancelled. It seems that market demand is simply much higher for clamshell-style models.

What was announced as postponed before seems to become canceled now which is - indeed - bad news for candybar fans.

The photos above where taken on 3GSM congress this year, where the MPx100 was officially announced.

What does it means for candybar fans if Rich's information are correct (which I have to believe too)? Either you have to look for the HTC Typhoon or the recently announced Sagem MyS-7 is your device.

Cheers ~ Arne
