DOWNLOAD: Microsoft releases commercial Office Mobile 6.1 for Windows Mobile 6

I've posted yesterday about the update availability of Office Mobile 6.1 but if your Windows Mobile devices hasn't Windows Mobile 6.0 preinstalled, you cannot use the update but have to buy a copy of it - which is now available from Handango. With Office Mobile 6.1 you can open the new Office 2007 XML-based Word, Excel and PowerPoint files on your Windows Mobile device. These new file formats reduce file size, improve security and reliability as well as enhances integration with external sources.

Unfortunately, Office Mobile 6.1 is "slightly" overpriced (we are talking about the mobile version of Office 2007, not about Office 2007 Ultimate for Windows Vista) and Handango has it available now for US$ 49.95!
Instead of Office Mobile 6.1 you might want to consider DataViz' Office To Go which does the same for US$ 29.99.

They want money for a minor release???
Lets wait for Windows mobile update next year. Most of the windows mobile users change their device every year and so with my next device I get it and the updated windows mobile.

I really don't like this way. We are all beta testers and than we have to pay for the next beta?

Maybe the next windows mobile version is really stable and the Blackberry Users stop laughing when my device does not react any more.
