Ilium Software recently released version 1.1 of NewsBreak, its state of the art RSS new reader for Smartphone. Basically NewsBreak 1.1 adds some new features like custom icons, Today screen support and many other usability improvements and fixes.
In addition, NewsBreak 1.1 is also Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC compatible now.

NewsBreak 1.0.1 also added improved storage card support and support for feeds that require authentication, including Google's Gmail.

Ilium Software released NewsBreak 1.1 as a free upgrade for Smartphone users with any earlier version of NewsBreak. To get the upgrade, download the trial and install it over your current version of NewsBreak. It should automatically be unlocked. If it isn't, please contact Ilium to get an unlock code.

If you are not a customer yet, you can buy it for US$ 14.95 only. However, a trial version is available also you might want to test first. If you are going to test NewsBreak, don't forget to add the::unwired to your list of RSS feeds. ;-)

Cheers ~ Arne

It's a nice piece of software, though unfortunately because I have so many system utilities, turning on the Today plugin means I can't get Calligrapher to start...

Ouch, yes - I see your problem. This Today screen limitation is a real pain we've discussed it intensively on one of our last User Group meetings as well. Not sure but at least I hope this becomes better with Windows Mobile. sad
