GAME: ClickThePic Multiplayer and Multidevice Android Game - best Played with MHL or Google TV

Normally I'm not writing here about games, except if a unique idea catches my attention, if the game is somehow wireless or if it was developed by a friend. Well, ClickThePic for Android is such a game which I had the pleasure to Beta test the past months. It's a yet unique kind of wireless multiplayer and  multidevice game for "quick pic clicker". ClickThePic requires a "viewer" device and can host up to 4 "player" devices. The goal is to click the shown picture as fast as possible; being faster than your friends. The "viewer"-device shows pics which have to be clicked on the "player" devices, which are all connected via Bluetooth to the "viewer" device. The fastest player gets the point - straight forward.

Players can earn extra stars by beating the up to now fastest reaction time and "player" devices can be operated on different levels, so that parents can play with their children without getting them bored.

The levels are rather self-explanatory, besides "Don't touch": Here you must remember the pics which turn on your screen. If such a pic appears on the "viewer" device, don't touch it on your screen, but touch it on the "viewer" device to change to a new pic. If a "Don't touch"-pic is clicked by a player this player gets a penalty of 5 points.

That's all nice and wireless but the real fun starts if you either connect the "viewer" device via MHL with your living room flat screen or install ClickThePic straight on your Google TV (it's one of the few apps which was really optimized for Google TV) and make it the "viewer" device.

Nothing compares to competing with friends on a lazy Saturday evening or playing it with your kids - big screen - on your TV. As said, I had the pleasure to play and Beta test it the recent months and we had a lot of fun.

ClickThePic is now available free of charge from Google Play and requires Android 2.1 or higher. Bluetooth is required for connection and MHL-USB compatibility was tested with the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4. Unfortunately yet not supported is Google Chromecast.

Cheers ~ Arne
