GPRS PC-CARD: T-Mobile to introduce the Option GlobeTrotter Tri-Band Card

Yesterday evening, when I watched TV I saw a T-Mobile Germany commercial where they highlighted a new GPRS product - a GPRS enabled PCMCIA card which looked like the Option GlobeTrotter card (see my review here) and indeed, T-Mobile has the card on its website - announced as "coming soon".

So if you are a T-Mobile Germany customer and still not using their MDA but a Pocket PC with the option to support PC cards (like the HP iPAQ series or the Casio E-200) this card might be the perfect solution for you.

I still believe that the Option GlobeTrotter PC card is the best available GPRS Tri-Band card. It works brilliant with Pocket PCs as well as with Notebooks (I've still used it with my Notebook when I was in Seattle and Cannes the last weeks) and together with Pocket Presence Running Voice 2.5 it comes pretty close to a Phone Edition Pocket PC, even if you have a Pocket PC device only.

By the way - if you are not a T-Mobile customer, the Option GlobeTrotter is also available from Vodafone and Orange.

Or directly from Options web shop for a promotion price of € 349.00.

Cheers ~ Arne
