GPRS ROAMING: T-Mobile launches roaming between Germany, Austria and USA

From today T-Mobile provides GPRS roaming between their T-Mobile networks in Germany (formerly T-D1); Austria (formerly max.mobil) and USA (still known as VoiceStream) and supports all TCP/IP services including Web, E-Mail and WAP.

As a German T-Mobile customer, you can use GPRS roaming also in UK, Czech Republic and Poland. T-Mobile plans to expand its GPRS roaming to other European partners until end of this year!

That's great, the world becomes one and I love VoiceStream as my preferred International Roaming network in the US more and more. Now it also allows me to use its GPRS infrastructure. However, one thing makes me wonder. We have seen lots of reports that VoceStream blocked some ports, e.g. for E-Mail. Does they opened it now or how should the E-Mail service for inbound roamers works?

Cheers ~ Arne
