The best news of all is that - according to consus consulting's FAQ page - the P600 supports SDIO as well as CF cards with an additional available adapter! Holy cow, SDIO and CF - this means we come closer to the Bluetooth headset as the Eton P600 doesn't include Bluetooth by default.

Beside this, consus consulting also announced the launch of the P610 Pocket PC which is a W-LAN version (without Phone Edition) of the P600.

The P600 is available from right now for Euro 800,00 from different distributors and shops. A international availability wasn't announced so far. Not from Eten nor from consus consulting. I've already contacted the guys at consus and hope to get more information soon!

Cheers ~ Arne

UPDATE: I just spoke with the folks from consus consulting and I will get a review device next week! So stay tuned for an detailed update and review soon!

Wow, sounds cool! 8-) Specially the SD I/O functionality! Since I'm not located in Germany I think I will never get my hands on it but I hope you give us a review ASAP to tell me what I miss. ;-(
Hopefully Eten will also find its way with a GSM 1900 version to the US.

Looks really nice.   I have the Siemens PPCP. The 64MB and better expandability are obvious advantages but I really like additional application buttons and a audio record button.   I think they should design these things to do more things with one hand.

It will beat Jornada 928 WDA and others.
Complete GSM/GPRS plus CF slot and SD

I wish new version will using PXA250 or higher and newest ATI IMAGEON 3200 plus class 10 GPRS.
It will be the perfect PDA in the world !!

BTW, is it avail. in english version ?
If avail. then time to change....

I have the set for testing as well, the size of Eten is too big, taller and thicker than O2 XDA.

When you see the specifications on the Consus website and the picture with the features, there is NO CF-Slot!

Posted by Arne Hess on 22.11.02 - 00:00:00

@Edmund Sackbauer: That's right, CF isn't built in, that's why I wrote "CF cards with an additional available adapter!"

You can find this information on the FAQ page:
Unterstützt der P600/P610 CF-Karten?

Sie können im Handel spezielle CF-Karten erwerben.

Es wird ein CF-Adapter benötigt, der als Zubehör erhältlich ist.
Cheers ~ Arne

The P600 is available in english, too.

According to Eten P600 Spec. on , there is a CF Slot. But when I saw the picture, yes there is no CF slot built in.

Will think again to change...

Does anyone knof if the P600 (i own one) supports the toshiba sd-bluetooth card for a headset ?

Almost what I am looking for, but it needs to handle tri-band incl 1900MHz or at least dual band 900/1900 MHz to be able to use it in Europe and North America
