If so, please contact me and you will always have a place in my heart :!: Honestly, I'm looking for somebody who can support me with Windows 2003 Web Edition, POP3, SMTP and the bloody Port 25! :-(
Every feedback and offer to volunteer is appreciated! I'm getting nuts...

Cheers ~ Arne

Hi Arne,

I can help too, and yes you will go nutty with Web Edition.  Just wait until you try to get the Frontpage Search Engine components running in II6.  Took me two months of working with Microsoft to get that fixed and the fix was to re-format and re-install.

Anyway, let me know your specific problems or share them here on the forum and I'm sure that together we can work it out.  I have a test server here at my desk and I can run an installation of WebEdition (It's currently Standard Edition) to mirror what you are seeing.

Hi Arne,

Apolagies for the lateness in this reply, I have been on some minor annual leave.

I have set up Windows 2003 pop3 service and configured the mail domain -  I've added a mailbox in my name and noticed the pop up about using clear text authentication or secure password authentication.  Mail me if you'd like to see a screen shot of that, this could be helpful to you.

I have then configured my client workstation using Outlook Express 6 (enabled SPA) to use the server and successfully sent messages from my client to the server etc.

Please get back in touch and we can get back to it.
