If you are that kind of Windows Phone 7 user who want to go straight to your tasks and don't want to jump in and out of your apps, then codeJoker's recently released homebrewed shortcuts might be something useful for you. The co-developer of ChevronWP7 has released "New SMS", "New Email" and "WiFi Settings" which isn't doing anything fancy than just allowing to write a new SMS text message or E-Mail with a single click, or opening Windows Phone 7's WiFi settings without navigating through the settings menu first. And if you have more than just one E-Mail account configured, New Email even asks you from which E-Mail account the E-Mail should be sent from, before it opens the editor.

While New SMS was submitted to Microsoft's Marketplace, it's yet not approved and therefore not available for download. However, if you have a developer device or a ChevronWP7 unlocked device, you can download the XAP file straight from the developer's homepage. Same for New Email and WiFi Settings which nevertheless aren't submitted to the Marketplace but available as a free side-load XAP only.
Cheers ~ Arne
