During this week's GITEX exhibition in Dubai, O2 Asia unveiled its latest Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition, the Xda Flame.
The Flame isn't just another Pocket PC Phone Edition, sporting Windows Mobile 5, GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS (which is confirmed while HSDPA is rumored only); no - the Flame might set new benchmarks since it's featuring a 3.6" VGA screen, running on an Intel XScale PXA270 CPU at 520 MHz and sporting a NVIDIA GoForce 5500 GPU graphics chip for enhanced graphic capabilities.
In addition, the Xda Flame is also featuring 2 GB of ROM, WiFi b/g, USB On-The-Go, a 2 megapixel camera, SRS Mobile HD surround sound and TV-out support!
Prices weren't announced yet but O2 Asia confirmed, that the Xda Flame can be
expected to be launched early 2007 across Asia and Oceania. It's not confirmed
yet, if O2 Europe (namely O2 UK, O2 Ireland, O2 Germany and Telefónica O2 Czech
Republic) also plans to carry the Xda Flame or not.
Cheers ~ Arne
