Pen&Internet, LLC, the developers of riteMail handwritten e-mail, and dopod Communication Corporation of China, recently announced an OEM bundling agreement to bring handwritten messaging to the China market in the dopod Pocket PC Phone Edition.

riteMail for Pocket PC will be pre-loaded on every dopod unit. The dopod Pocket PC Phone Edition is currently sold and marketed in the major electronics stores across the country. Wireless connectivity for dopod is currently provided through China Mobile.

With the tradition of Chinese calligraphy and handwriting, riteMail is a natural application for mobile messaging in China. Users can now wirelessly correspond in their own handwriting, adding a personal touch, flexibility and ease of use to email.

riteMail feature highlights include:

  • smooth electronic ink
  • automatic shape correction and alignment for quick drawing and charting
  • a range of calligraphy pen colors, styles and writing backgrounds
  • seamless wireless download of handwritten content
