ReenSoft has a solution to make your Pocket PC 2000 and Pocket PC 2002 devices perform better when viewing web pages designed for desktop PC viewing. This is not for WM2003 Pocket PCs though and surely those who are not able to upgrade to WM2003 will find this attractive. ReenSoft's PIEPlus adds several features to Pocket Internet Explorer like optimizing web page to fit in screen, multiple windows, full screen mode and more.

What makes PIEPlus unique is that it has what ReenSoft calls the Pocket Web Optimizer. It adjusts content to fit the PIE screen and minimizes the need for horizontal scrolling of the screen. While it does this with a lot of web pages, some pages may retain the horizontal scroll bar even though with PWO activated.

Here is a sample of PIE running PIEPlus in standard viewing mode.

And here is PIEPlus in action with PocketView activated using Pocket Web Optimizer.

Reensoft PIEPlus adds the following enhancements to Pocket Internet Explorer.

  • Optimize the web contents to fit for PIE
  • Open multiple PIE windows
  • Fullscreen mode
  • Extended context menu
  • Identify PIE as IE5.5 or IE6.0
  • Set default charset
  • Enable/disable script and script warning
  • Enable/disable ClearType

PIEPlus is available as a 14-day trial and can be purchased for $19.95
