Also today, Dopod announces the launch of the C500 Windows Mobile 6 Standard smartphone, also known as HTC Vox and already on sale in Europe as Orange SPV E650. The Smartphone's breathtaking design includes its 12-numeric keypad and a semi-auto sliding QWERTY keyboard, which not only allows you to key in messages with minimal effort but also fits your style and preferences. In addition, the C500 features quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0. Also featured is a 2 megapixel camera for photos and videos; UMTS or even HSDPA is left.

Online chatting will never be the same again, thanks to the C500. By introducing Windows Live Messenger to the Smartphone industry, the C500 stands out among the crowd as one of the first Smartphones to do so. You can now chat with your friends while on the move, send and receive photos, cute icons as well as voice recordings instantly and at the click of a button. If you feel bored, create your own Windows Live community to while away the time.
Furthermore, the device's semi-auto sliding QWERTY keyboard enhances Windows Live messaging and makes the experience so much more enjoyable!

With the latest Windows Mobile 6 platform and Microsoft Office Mobile, you can truly enjoy all the benefits that come with having your own mobile office. The powerful features mean that information and documents you require are always available at your fingertips. The C500 allows users to both view and edit familiar Word and Excel documents as well as the ability to view PowerPoint and Adobe PDF documents. This stylish device also has a Quick Notes function that supports different font sizes to make viewing easier. Additionally, for the first time, users can access corporate files stored on a Microsoft SharePoint Server directly and easily from the C500.

The C500 is equipped with a Talking Dictionary that contains 60,000 words from Chinese to English and English to Chinese.
