LAUNCH: Is T-Mobile USA working on a "xda II"?

JoshB posted an interesting news on the PPCW.Net Forum. He tried to get a T-Mobile Phone Edition from CompUSA without success. After some phone calls he got the following response from CompUSA:

According to the person I spoke to in the PDA department, no CompUSA west of the Mississippi has any in stock, and their inventory system shows it as "discontinued".
He said that must mean that a replacement is coming, but he didn't have any details.

So far, only O2 confirmed that it is going to release a Windows Mobile 2003 based Pocket PC Phone Edition called xda II later this year; no other carrier announced any further plans so far. But since the xda II is announced as triple-band enabled device, it would makes sense that US carriers will introduce the same device this time.

Cheers ~ Arne
