LEAK: Palm Treo 800p photos in the wild - a confirmation for the Treo 800w?

While the photos bellow, PalmInfocenter published over the weekend, are not a Windows Mobile Palm at all, the device could get a reincarnation as a Windows Mobile device as well. The set of live camera phone spy shots of what could be the "Palm Treo 800p" shows the rumored "Palm Gandolf" design in the wild. Not looking like a typical Palm device anymore, the device seems to be much smaller and slightly slimmer then all other Palm smartphones before.
According to PalmInfocenter, the Treo 800p (unconfirmed name) features a touchscreen with a smaller translucent keyboard:

And here the previously leaked photo of a Vodafone branded device which is expected to run Windows Mobile Standard (aka Smartphone without a touchscreen):

As you can see, the designs are pretty much identically except the fact that the "Windows Mobile" device doesn't features a touchscreen and the 800p screen seems to be more squarish (which seems to make the Windows Mobile version wider). Quite an interesting device, even if it seems to run 2.5G only.

Further information aren't available yet. Neither about the Palm OS running device nor about the Windows Mobile version.

Cheers ~ Arne

Make it black and it might look better. This iPod white thing is just ugly.
