While HTC is still pretty shy to tell its customers what they can expect with the upcoming Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich updates, a recently leaked HTC Sensation ROM shows us more and as expected, HTC has not given up to enhance ICS with its own HTC Sense user interface. According to the screenshots, HTC Sense for Android 4.0 will still be v3.5 and it comes with the well known unlock screen which allows to add shortcuts for a direct application launch. Furthermore it seems that this Sense version comes with an application bar which looks pretty much like the Flyer's Android 2.3 bar which hasn't made it to the Flyer's Honeycomb update. But it seems, HTC brings it back with HTC Sense 3.5 for Ice Cream Sandwich.
However, even if the leaked ROM is now available as a public download for the HTC Sensation, it looks like it's a pretty early build which seems to be unfinished. First of all it's hard to believe that HTC will really release an ICS upgrade, based on Android 4.0.1 only as well as the folders on the lock-screen don't fit into the circles. HTC has much higher quality and design expectations and therefore it's safe to say that this seems to be an early internal test-build which isn't anything close to be released soon.
Cheers ~ Arne
