Ouch, it must hurts if an online shop leaks information prior the company of the product is able to announce it officially himself. This time expansys UK leaked the i-mate JASJAR (what's that), basically known as HTC Universal - the first and long awaited UMTS Pocket PC which is scheduled to be officially announced by i-mate at Gitex next month.
Anyway, expansys did it today already and writes:
180° rotating screen and full QWERTY keyboard!
The JASJAR runs the latest Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition Operating System, and is an ideal mobile device for email, Internet browsing and getting access to corporate LAN resources. Capable of Tri-band GSM/GPRS worldwide, it also features in-built Bluetooth and WiFi for inter-device connectivity.
The device can be folded out to give access to the keyboard, or folded back for touchscreen-only use. A 1.3 megapixel camera is included, which can take both still pictures and video clips.
While it is even not announced yet by i-mate, it's already on pre-order from expansys for £ 744.95 (without a contract). Well, that's around 1,097.45 Euro or US$ 1,342.25 which is, well - pricy.
Cheers ~ Arne
