msmobiles.com is pointing to a news at a German online magazine (Xonio) which is talking about a Smartphone from Siemens which might be developed for T-Mobile and could replacing the T-Mobile Tanager project.
According to Xonio - which got this information as rumors also - the so called ST55 could be manufactured by Asian ODM Quanta and should come with build in camera, MMC support (yes, MMC not SD) 65k color display.
Xonio also published this picture which reminds pretty much on a Siemens S55:
Xonio seems to get their information from a
Norwegian site but unfortunately my Norwegian is a little bit rusty and Google doesn't work.
Honestly I have no clue if this is a mockup or leaked but the best indicator for me is all the time the keyboard layout. I know that Microsoft is pretty strict in the keyboard layout requirements (for instance an ODM changed the layout one time which Microsoft didn't accepted that time). But if I have a look on the picture above, there even aren't any home/back buttons which makes it for me more unbelievable that this phone - in the current design - will run Microsoft's Smartphone OS. But who knows, maybe it's running Windows CE .Net since everybody is free to license CE .Net like Norwegian Neonode. ;-)
So personally I don't think that this terminal is a Windows Mobile Smartphone but maybe more a Windows CE .Net based phone.
Cheers ~ Arne
