LOOX: Will the Loox entering the US market? For sure it will hitting PPCW.Net [UPDATE: 07.08.02]

According to different sources like PDABuzz and PDA the Fujitsu (Siemens) Pocket Loox will not be released in the US while it is expected mid of August at least in Germany and Austria.
According to (German), the GPRS sleeve will not be released before November this year - so currently the Loox isn't an option if you are looking for a Wireless Pocket PC now.

However, thanks to Fujitsu Siemens Germany, a Pocket Loox is on the way to me for a review here on PPCW.Net. Because I have to send it back latest on 16th August ;'-(, you can expect to see the review here pretty soon. The reason for the commercial shipping delay was - according to an E-Mail from Fujitsu Siemens - problems with the XScale speed and expected battery stand-by time. However, this should be fixed now and the device, which is on the way to me (I expect the arrival today or tomorrow), should have the latest (commercial) bits. More to come soon!

Cheers ~ Arne

UPDATE: I've waited the whole day today but nobody arrived. :"-( Unfortunately I'm out of the office tomorrow cause I will go for a one day business trip to Paris, I don't hope that the parcel service will ring my door tomorrow!? Keep the fingers crossed that the Loox will arrive before weekend, that I can take at least that two days for the review! Sorry for the bad news, I thought it would arrive latest today cause the required USB driver and ActiveSync version I've already received two days ago with an E-Mail from Fujitsu Siemens.

Cheers ~ Arne
