MOBILE ACCESS: One URL fits all - Wikipedia access for Mobile Phones and PDAs

German solution provider Sevenval today announced the availability of its own "Wikipedia Mobile"-version which uses Sevenval's "FIT Mobile"-solution.
Thanks to FIT Mobile, it should be possible to use just one URL on any mobile device to always get the best result delivered; therefore it should work on QVGA, VGA Pocket PCs as well as on CIF, QVGA Smartphones.
With FIT Mobile it was possible to make Wikipedia available in all Wikipedia supported languages (47 by now) without redeveloping anything but FIR Mobile acts as a kind of proxy between your mobile device and the Wikipedia Encyclopedia:

Sevenval's Mobile Wikipedia can be accessed free of charge and I'm sure the bookmark is worth for many, especially since it gives you real-time access to the real Wikipedia version, not a cashed or dumped one.

BTW: By default the link seems to access the German Wikipedia site only, to change to your language, click the "Andere Sprachen" link (the second from top).

Cheers ~ Arne
