Today at the Mobile World Congress, Acer unveiled the beTouch E400 - a consumer Android  smartphone with a very slim design. The beTouch E400 is ready to open your world to the endless possibilities of real mobile internet. With 3G+ and WIFI connectivity you can browse the web, update your social networks and have fun online whenever you feel like it. Running on Android 2.1 (Eclair), it guarantees a new level of interactivity and mobile freedom. The powerful yet extremely efficient Qualcomm 7227 processor running at 600 MHz not only do you get smooth, instant access to web pages, media streaming, other applications, but also unrivalled energy efficiency for increased battery life.

The 12 mm slim beTouch E400 with its pure design, friendly and super sensitive interface offers style and functionality at the same time very few other phones can match, with clear and simple menus and everything you need available with just a few flicks of the finger.

The large 3.2" high-definition (HVGA) resistive touch screen offers rich, vibrant colors and ultra-sensitive precision, while the 3.2-megapixel digital camera with built-in flash, geo-tagging, digital zoom, scene mode, white balance, color effect and macro mode allow you to capture the best moments of your life. Simply tapping on the video icon the E400 can also record super-sharp videos and then post them directly onto YouTube.

On beTouch E400 the office is never far away thanks to Native Microsoft Exchange Server support, allowing you to access to your corporate e-mail everywhere you go. And with the pre-installed Documents To Go you can edit and create Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files as well as view Adobe PDF files wherever you are. The improved keyboard layout, the multi-touch support and a better dictionary will assure a more accurate input.

The beTouch E400 features the smart Acer Lighting Behavior with smart LED lighting that flashes in different colors to let you know when a new message has arrived, if you missed a call or whether the battery is low.

The smartphone enables customers to stay in touch with friends by email, IM and social networks (Facebook and Twidroid built right in) at all times. Assure to stream high definition YouTube videos and find the way with GPS-enabled Google Maps complete with Latitude, Street View, Traffic and POI search. But also listen high quality music through the standard 3.5 mm audio jack and enjoy exclusive music streaming with Acer Spinlets.

The beTouch E400 comes preinstalled with Acer Sync, a smart application that allows automatic cloud-based and Wi-Fi synchronization with your netbook, notebook or desktop so that your contacts, calendars and files are always up to date.

The Acer beTouch E400 comes with 3 changeable battery covers that wrap around the sides to show off your style even more. Available in soft-touch black, ceramic white and pearl red, the E400 is more than a phone - it's a style statement. It will be available from April 2010.
