Beside supporting its own Windows Phone 7, so far Microsoft gave most apps-love to iOS since Redmond released quite a bunch of useful apps for the iPhone and iPad. However, this might change now because yesterday, Microsoft has launched the first really useful app for Android: OneNote Mobile. On the PC, the phone or the web, OneNote goes everywhere. OneNote Mobile for Android is a note-taking app for capturing all the ideas and to-dos on the go. It allows to create notes with text, pictures, and bullets as well as it allows to make and manage to-do lists with checkboxes. But the most interesting part is, that Microsoft OneNote for Android is synchronized with Microsoft's free SkyDrive online storage.

This allows to access, edit and manage created and edited notes from virtually anywhere, like a PC as well as almost any web browser. The free version of OneNote Mobile for Android allows to access, create and edit up to 500 notes. Once this limit is reached, users can still view, delete and sync notes. To continue taking and editing notes, users can upgrade OneNote Mobile for Android to unlimited use through an in-app purchase; the unlimited use costs a one-time fee of US$ 4.99.

OneNote Mobile requires Android 2.3 or higher and users need a free Windows Live ID to use OneNote Mobile. It's now available free of charge from the Android Market.
