Infinitely times rumored and leaked, Google seems to had a break and it took them a little bit longer. But now, the Nexus 5 - the company's latest addition to its range of Nexus Android smartphones - is finally official and available. As expected, the Nexus 5 runs on Android 4.4 aka KitKat. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core CPU at 2.3 GHz which is supported by a Adreno 330 GPU with 450 MHz and 2 GB RAM. The Nexus 5 comes with support for either CDMA/1xRTT/EVDO or GSM/GPRS/EDGE, UMTS/HSPA+ and LTE. It sports a 4.95" full HD IPS Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected touchscreen and comes with a 8 megapixel rear facing camera with optical image stabilization and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera.

At a size of 69.17 x 137.84 x 8.59 mm, the Nexus 5 weights 130 g, including the 2,300 mAh battery.

Powered by the brand new Android 4.4 KitKat, users are always the first to get the latest Android updates from Google. With over 1 million apps and games to choose from on Google Play, there's something for everyone. Gmail, Chrome, Google Calendar, Drive and Google Keep. are all pre-installed work together seamlessly across all - from the desktop to mobile and vice versa.

The advanced new lens on Nexus 5 is said to capture more light for brighter night and sharper action shots. And with Furthermore the new HDR+ mode automatically snaps a rapid burst of photos and combines them to give users the best possible shot. Daytime shots are vivid with clean shadows, and night time shots are sharp with less noise. As Google said, real life doesn't fit in 4" x 6", so the Nexus 5 comes with Photo Sphere which allows to create the effect of an immersive 360° view that no traditional camera can match.

The news Nexus 5 is available today, unlocked and without a contract, on Google Play in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan and Korea (and coming soon to India) in either black or white with either 16 or 32 GB of flash memory.
