to Expansys, Toshiba is expected to release a fix for the idle-mode bug of its
latest Windows Mobile smartphone, the Toshiba Portégé G900, during this week.
In the past days,
some problems popped-up but
according to J. Richardson
of Expansys, a software patch will be available this week for download from the
Toshiba Mobile Communications web site that will address issues experienced by
some users when attempting to transition from idle mode on the G900 device.
The web address for downloading the patch and instructions for installing it
will be posted
to the Expansys forum as soon as the patch is available. Toshiba Mobile
Communications is also actively working to provide resolution to other G900
technical matters reported on the Expansys forum.
Good news that Toshiba is taking the bugs serious and is taking (hopefully)
care. But no question, the Windows Mobile competition got harder and customers
doesn't accept these kind of bugs (non-working phone functionality) anymore.
Cheers ~ Arne
