As already reported here, T-Mobile Germany will release the MDA II (finally it's the official name) end of October in Germany. The introduction of the MDA II is also planned for Austria, the UK and the Czech Republic soon - however, so far no release date was given for the USA.
At this year's IFA in Berlin, T-Mobile is presenting the new version of the Mobile Digital Assistant.
The t-zones content has been optimized for access via the T-Mobile MDA, and the multimedia features also include the option of playing videos in MPEG 4 format or sound files in MP3 format, making the MDA II also the perfect companion outside office hours.
As a tri-band device, the T-Mobile MDA II is a truly global business companion, and can be used in most countries including the majority of states in America. The T-Mobile MDA II also features an integrated VGA digital camera, meaning that users who frequently take digital snapshots in the course of their daily work - such as architects, engineers or journalists - do not need to use a separate camera. Any pictures or video can be sent back to head office as MMS while the user is out and about.
The VGA camera (VGA, Video Graphic Array) built in to the T-Mobile MDA II takes pin sharp MMS-photos at a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels. The large touch screen display, capable of showing 65,000
colors makes it easy to see pictures, text, menu items and application interfaces, even in bright light.
The MDA II will includes 128 MB of RAM and uses an 400 MHz XScale processor. With the integrated Bluetooth interface, the T-Mobile MDA II can also be used for wireless communication between devices or as a navigation system in conjunction with the T-Mobile NaviGate BlueKit.
Cheers ~ Arne
