Vodafone Global is rolling-out the v1620 Pocket PC Phone Edition which looks like a
Vodafone VPA III (aka HTC Blue Angel). However, according to
World, the v1620 seems to be a kind of VPA 3i (like the O2 Xda IIi) which
means it looks similar but have updated features:
Sharing its specifications with the Vodafone VPA IV, the v1620 is powered
by a 520 MHz Intel PXA270 processor accompanied by 128 MB of volatile memory
and a QVGA TFT display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and 65K color
depth. Also, the device will feature an integrated slide-down QWERTY
thumb-board, and integrates a broad range of connectivity options.
support is provided courtesy of GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, whilst
shorter range connectivity support includes Bluetooth 1.1, Wi-Fi 802.11b,
Infrared and USB 1.0. Additionally, the v1620 also offers an SDIO capable
SD/MMC Card expansion slot, and can also double as a modem via either
Bluetooth or Infrared.
As you might have noticed above, the v1620 (what a name :-() is announced to
have a 520 MHz CPU (which needs to be an Intel Bulverde CPU which is also used
for the Xda IIi) while the other features like QVGA, quad-band and Wi-Fi 802.11b
are the same.
