When Nokia announced its new Windows Phone camera-hero, the Nokia Lumia 1020, Nokia also announced that support for Instagram will hit Windows Phones soon and now it's available. Not from Instagram - or better Facebook - itself but from Hipstamatic which just released Hipstamatic Oggl: "A Community For Creative People To Capture & Curate Their Lives Through Photography". Oggl is described to be a "capture-first" shooting experience using Hipstamatic's beautiful lenses and films, which comes with 5 "Favorites" pre-loaded for situational shooting: Landscape, Food, Portrait, Nightlife and Sunset. Oggl edited photos can be either shared via Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, but also shared to the Oggl profile to curate the users personal story. While Oggl is available free of charge, it will come with the 5 predefined filters - called lenses only.
However, the creators also offer a subscription model to support "this vision for the community" by going forward to offer two subscriptions: Quarterly for US$ 2.99 & yearly for US$ 9.99. These subscriptions come with access to Hipstamatic's entire catalog of current lens and film gear, and - as Hipstamatic says it - guarantees new gear each month.
If you are installing Oggl now, you can enjoy all the subscription gear for a 60 day limited time with this first releases of Oggl. Hipstamatic said that this is the very first version on Windows Phone 8 and next to be released are more social media integration, improved image quality, post processing etc.
Users of a Nokia Lumia 1020 can install Hipstamatic Oggl PRO which is the Lumia 1020 pro version of Oggl. It comes with all filters, lenses and more without the need to pay for a quarterly or yearly subscriptions.
Cheers ~ Arne
