Toshiba's recently announced Windows Mobile Professional Pocket PC, the G900 is a pretty unique device, with its 3" WVGA (800x480) screen, triband UMTS and HSDPA and a full keyboard. In addition, the G900 features a biometric fingerprint security sensor to ensure that the G900 is secured against unauthorized access (some of you might remember the Compaq iPAQ which had the same technology years ago as well). However, the same sensor can be used to navigate the phone's menus at the touch of a finger (similar to my Fujitsu Siemens Tablet PC's fingerprint reader I use for scrolling as well). And if you use a Bluetooth equipped PC, it can be locked and unlocked due to its proximity to your G900, up to a radius of approximately 10m:

Depending on the price and availability, the G900 has the potential to become the real HTC Hermes competitor. At least feature-wise the device is up to date and state of the art and for sure, the first choice for everybody who loves to watch TV and movies.

Cheers ~ Arne
