Nothing new for North American readers here but during last week's Möbius 2007 conference I got my hands on a recently released AT&T Pantech Duo C810 Windows Mobile 6 Standard smartphone which I was quite fascinated about when I saw it the first time.
This feature-rich smartphone supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dualband UMTS/HSDPA as well as Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel camera and a unique dual-slide keyboard design which unveils a standard phone pad as well as a QWERTY thumb-keyboard:

As I said, when I read the specs first time online, I was quite impressed. However, after I spent some time with the device, I must say that the quality left mixed feelings. The slide-out mechanism aren't semi-automatic slider but reminds more on the good old HTC Wizard and also the overall look and feel isn't the latest and greatest in terms of design, not to mention that the device is quite thick.

All together not a bad device with a quite interesting dual-slider idea. But I have the feeling it doesn't bothers Europeans that the device is most likely not released here.

Cheers ~ Arne
