HTC's recently launched Incredible S Android smartphone combines cutting-edge design with a premium smartphone experience for those who dare to be different by featuring a stunning contoured body that highlights the internal hardware components of the device. Running Android 2.2 (an Android 2.3/Gingerbread upgrade is currently rolling-out) and HTC Sense 2.0, the device is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm CPU. It supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as triband UMTS/HSDPA (up to 14.4 Mbps)/HSUPA (up to 5.76 Mbps) at 900/1700/2100 MHz and features Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi b/g/n, aGPS as well as an FM radio.

The Incredible S sports a Gorilla Glass protected and scratch resistant 4" WVGA Super-LCD capacitive touchscreen and the 8 megapixel autofocus camera with dual flash allows to record 720p HD videos. Furthermore the Incredible S comes with a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video telephony and chat. The device has 1.1 GB of ROM and 768 MB of RAM which can be expanded with microSD memory cards up to 32 GB and measures 120 x 64 x 11.7 mm with a weight of 135.5 grams - including the 1450 mAh Li-ion battery.

Supporting all Google Mobile and Android services, the HTC Incredible S comes with HTC's own user interface called HTC Sense. Also typical for an HTC Android smartphone are the touch sensitive menu keys under the screen. However, these keys rotates depending of the orientation of the device; showing the menu buttons either landscape or portrait optimized.

The HTC Incredible S is now available in all black and the suggested retail price without a contract is 539 Euro but many online shops are offering it cheaper.

Cheers ~ Arne
