Since T-Mobile is selling the Blue Angel as MDA III in Germany now and i-mate is offering it as PDA2k globally, I know many of you are looking for a replacement case. Fiel Frama recently announced their "Blue Angel" fitting leather case which I received yesterday (thanks to Piel Frama) and before it takes too long to review it, here we go with the photo-preview that you can decide if this case is something which might work for you.

Because the Blue Angel is a slider design, Piel Frama had to find a different way how to get the case around the device and here they are using a "trick" with the keyboard. There is no other point where the case is fixed, just the with the transparent plastic, which also protects the thumb-keyboard.

I have no experiences yet how long this will works but it seems to work. However, I have to admit that it takes away the feeling and the pressure point but in my tests it worked well, for me.

As always, the Piel Frama case includes:

  • Snap Closure
  • Sync through travel cable
  • Rotateable and completely removable belt clip (the knob is also removable)
  • 2 MMC Slots
  • 2 Credit Card Slots.
  • 1 Money Pocket
  • Soft Leather Lining
  • ABS inserted protection

The case is available in different colors. Pricing starts at 60,00 Euro and includes shipping.

Cheers ~ Arne

I have a problem with my Piel Frama case on my XDA IIs. I need to leave the PDA turned on to play my music - but when I close the case, the pressure from the case cover forces some of the buttons to activate.

Can anyone suggest a work-around for this?

Thanks in advance

I have found the same & have disabled the buttons at the bottom of the XDA IIs ... just to see whether this helps. Not the best solution, but a possible alternative.
