Thanks to T-Mobile Germany I recently got my hands on a T-Mobile MDA Vario III, T-Mobile's version of the HTC TyTN II.
Not yet brand new anymore, it's still a quite fascinating device since it might be the most powerful Windows Mobile smartphone, featuring Windows Mobile 6 Professional, quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as triband UMTS/HSDPA up to 3.6 Mbps, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and A-GPS. Furthermore, since it's a MDA Vario device, for sure it features a slide-out thumb-keyboard and a, for Windows Mobile devices unique, swiveling display. Backed-up by 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM, the memory can be expanded using microSD memory cards.

Last but not least, the MDA Vario III features a 3 megapixel autofocus camera on the back and a VGA camera on the front which can be used for video telephony and self-portrait photos and videos.

While the MDA Vario III was released after the T-Mobile MDA Touch, it doesn't features HTC's frameless Bio Touch display technology while it also supports HTC's TouchFLO.

More to come soon, stay tuned.

Cheers ~ Arne
