I've mentioned the availability of the UBiQUiO 503G on Monday and thanks to Expansys and UBiQUiO, I've just received a review-sample of UBiQUiO's first UMTS Windows Mobile 6 Professional smartphone.
Featuring Windows Mobile 6 Professional (aka Pocket PC Phone Edition), the UBiQUiO 503G sports a 520 MHz Marvell/Qualcomm 6280 processor, Stereo Bluetooth, WiFi b/g as well as quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and triband UMTS/HSDPA (up to 3.6 Mbps) and a QWERTY keyboard.

With 192 MB ROM and 96MB RAM (extendable through microSD cards), the UBiQUiO 503G has enough storage to save photos and videos, made with the 2 megapixel main camera. Furthermore, it sports a front facing camera for UMTS video telephony and a QVGA 2.4" touch screen.

As always, before I will follow-up with a review, here we go with a couple of photos:

While I'm testing the device, please feel free to ask your questions in the comments bellow.

UPDATE: Added Palm Treo 750 comparison and HTC Hermes and Samsung SGH-i600 side views.

Cheers ~ Arne

When you post your review, can you post pics of the 503 on top or or next to the Samsung I600 and HTC XDA so we can see the difference in thickness of the phones?

I'm curious look wise, how much thicker the 503 is compared to those 2 phones.

Will add the two photos on Monday here. Stay tuned and thanks for your feedback!

I'm very interested in this phone, but I know little about the manufacturer.  While I would feel more comfortable with a phone built by HTC or Quanta, this phone seems to be the ideal form factor for me.  Who are Ubiquio?

As far as I know UBiQUiO is a brand name Expansys uses. The device is actually produced by TechFaith Wireless, which is also making some devices for e.g. i-mate.

As MTM said, UBiQUiO is part of Expansys plc and UBiQUiO is a brand name of Expansys.
Like T-Mobile's, Orange's or O2's Windows Mobile devices, also the UBiQUiO 503G is manufactured by a ODM in Asia. However, in this case it's not HTC (which makes most of the MDAs, SDAs, SPVs or XDAs) but TechFaith Wireless.
