Following my earlier video unboxing of Vodafone Germany's VDA V (aka HTC Vox) Windows Mobile Standard Smartphone which is on sale now for some weeks here in Germany (as well as on sale now in the UK as Vodafone v1415), now I follow-up with some device shots since a photo says more than 1000 words..
To repeat agin: the VDA V is a Windows Mobile 6 Standard smartphone (previously known as Windows Mobile Smartphone), powered by a TI OMAP CPU at 200 MHz and features quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth and WiFi and its absolutely unique highlight is the slide-out keyboard for easy text entry. Last but not least, the VDA V features a 2 megapixel camera for photo and video recording:

More to come soon. In the meantime feel free to ask your questions in the comments bellow.

Cheers ~ Arne

Man. these photos make lust for more! Well done.
And congrats for your first 'Vcast'. Not bad for the first one you did.

I'm visiting since it was and your photos and reviews became always better during the years. Keep up the good work of an informative site. And now with the videos it's getting even better again.

I'm looking forward to reading the review. I'm especially interested in what the branding is like and how the sound quality compares to an ordinary mp3-player (maybe you manage to find an adapter for higher quality headphones or your hi-fi stereo equipment and see how it compares).
Another bit of my interest is whether it's recognised by the PC as mass storage device w/o installing any drivers or not.

Hi Ruediger, thanks for your questions. Well, some of the questions I can answer already:

Branding: It's the typical Vodafone skin, nothing dramatic and it can be changed to anything else. Thankfully it's not hardcoded. So you can either use the original Windows Mobile skins or download/create 3rd party skins.

Stereo Quality: That's always hard for me to figure out. Personally I'm only using stereo Bluetooth headsets for convenience, especially because you can use this headsets for calls and listening music. Due to this fact, the quality is reduced already. Also I don't have any mini USB to 3.5 mm adapters here (but they are available from HTC) to use any of the better headsets I have.

Mass Storage: Don't think so (AFAIK it's still not supported under Window Mobile 6) but I have to test.

But I will test and express my impression in the review. If you have further comments, please let me know.
