Lotus Notes users here!? If so, you might be happy to hear that IBM has just released Lotus Notes Traveler which brings support for Android smartphones (in addition to the already supported iOS, Windows Mobile and Symbian operating systems). Lotus Notes traveler is a push solution providing quick access to E-Mail (including attachments), calendar, address book, journal and to-do list for Lotus Notes mobile users. It features automatic, two-way, OTA synchronization of Notes E-Mail, calendar and contact data. Furthermore it allows to remotely wipe lost or stolen devices and allows to read encrypted E-Mails.

Lotus Notes Traveler requires Android 2.x and the deployment of at least one Lotus Domino 8.0.1 server or later. It's included in the IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Client Access License and IBM Lotus Domino Enterprise Client Access License. Lotus Domino Messaging Express and Lotus Domino Collaboration Express customers are also eligible to obtain Lotus Notes Traveler software. Eligible customers can download Lotus Notes Traveler from the Passport Advantage and PartnerWorld sites, respectively, and are entitled to support under the corresponding terms and conditions.

Cheers ~ Arne
