While the Smartphone includes a Calendar application, the feature-set is still pretty limited. Developer Ones Power Calendar was the first serious replacement, now we get a second one from SBSH Mobile Software: Papyrus:

Papyrus is now in public-beta stages and can be downloaded for free SBSH:

  • Daily View
    • View alarm, private, note and recurring icons with each item on the daily view
    • Item's subject colored to easily identify item status
    • Optionally set text size for more data display or better visibility
    • Better looking scroll-bar and items display
    • Optionally define day title format
  • List View
    • Full list view display showing seven days ahead starting today
    • Use right and left SmartPhone joystick to move seven days forwards/backwards
    • View item icons with each appointment
    • Item's subject colored to easily identify item status
  • Monthly View
    • Monthly view with 20-hour daily timelines
    • Enter click the SmartPhone joy-stick to load a short overview of today's agenda
    • Second click the SmartPhone joy-stick automatically switches to daily view with selected day loaded
    • Red box led on monthly calendar symbols a day including all-day event(s)
  • Enhanced View Dialogs
    • Much better looking view dialogs
    • View dialogs including full recurrence details when viewing recurring appointments
    • View item icons: reminder, private, recurring and note
    • Included note in view dialog
  • Enhanced Create/Edit Item Dialogs
    • More intuitive and compact edit dialogs allowing to view more data in one screen
    • Input subject, location and note fields support full screen control for easier input/reading with large texts
    • Support in many common reoccurrence patterns allowing you to define a recurring item directly from your Smart Phone
    • More reminder times options available
  • Phone Buttons Navigation
    • Navigate using phone buttons between the various views and dates

That looks fantastic and reminds me pretty much on Agenda Fusion or Pocket Informant for my Pocket PC! Well done. Right now, Papyrus is available as free Beta download from SBSH's website but requires a previous forum registration.

Cheers ~ Arne
