Sling Media, Inc. today announced that its SlingPlayer Mobile TV software is free, for a limited time, to new Slingbox owners who buy and register their Slingbox between August 15, 2006 and September 16, 2006. A US$ 29.99 value, SlingPlayer Mobile is a software package that gives Slingbox owners the ability to watch and control their home TV from any network-enabled mobile phone or handheld computer powered by Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system.
In addition, Sling Media today also released its final version of SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows Smartphone software furthering the company's commitment to extending the living room TV experience on a broad range of the most popular devices on the market. The limited time free SlingPlayer Mobile offer is valid for both versions of Sling Media's SlingPlayer Mobile software.

"We are very excited to announce the final version of our SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows Smartphone software, which turns devices like the Motorola Q into a personal TV," said Blake Krikorian, Sling Media co-founder and CEO. "It's a two for one deal -- buy a Slingbox and not only have the ability to watch and control your home TV on your computer anytime, anywhere, but also watch and control it on some of the hottest mobile phones and handheld computers on the market."

SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows Smartphones software is compatible with devices that run Microsoft's Windows Mobile Smartphone Edition version 5.0, including the popular Motorola Q, T-Mobile SDA and the iMate SP5m.
SlingPlayer Mobile for Pocket PC is compatible with devices that run Windows Mobile Pocket PC 5.0 and 2003 Second Edition such as the Cingular 8125, Palm Treo 700w, PPC 6700, T-Mobile MDA and a number of popular handheld computers including the HP iPAQ and Dell Axim.
SlingPlayer Mobile supports any type of Internet connection on mobile devices, including 3G cellular services such as EV-DO or UMTS, WiFi, USB or Bluetooth-based connections. Customers should check with their wireless carrier on available data plans in your area.

SlingPlayer Mobile for Pocket PC and Windows Smartphone are available today as a free 30-day trial download from Sling Media's web site, www.slingmedia.com/mobile. New Slingbox owners who buy and register their Slingbox between August 15, 2006 and September 16, 2006 will receive a free registration code for the SlingPlayer Mobile software. There are no monthly or recurring charges for the use of the software.
