If you have pre-ordered the PPCW.Net i-Mate and got a confirmation E-Mail so time ago - today is your day: shipping starts now. :-) I was just on the airport to pick-up some of the packages but wasn't able to bring all into my car. So I expect the complete delivery Monday but this is how it looks if I pick up a "handful" PPCW.Net i-Mate packages: :-D
Awesome, so many devices I have to repack now and send it out to you (plus the one I left on the airport). If you haven't received a detailed delivery date but just a pre-order confirmation; your devices will arrive next week with another batch! :-)
So ladies and gentlemen - please load your PayPal accounts - your Smartphone 2002 is ready to be shipped! All confirmed pre-orders should make sure to check the Inboxes today (I know, it's Independence Day but isn't it a good reason to go online?). I have already sent most PayPal invoices.
Please welcome a lot of new Smartphone members to the community! :-D If you haven't ordered so far your PPCW.Net i-Mate but interested as well in getting your Microsoft Windows Mobile Smartphone right before your carrier decides to launch it, see here for all details.
That's great news, Arn. I can't wait to get my hands on the i-mate. Thanks!

just checked the FedEx details and it just arrived in Paris, so the journey is half way completed to Ireland with an ETA of lunchtime tomorrow - can't wait to get my hands on it

It arrived this morning - (in less than 24hours!) charged it up - and was surfing and emaling after 2 minutes configuring GPRS access - of course the first bookmark I added was www.PPCW.net
Now to get used to the Smartphone UI and get ActiveSync set-up.

Wow... That's fast... 8O This is less than 24 hours indeed and also other packages are already in Memphis/TN , Amsterdam and other locations all over the world... FedEx seems to deliver faster than I've expected... ;-)
So go for it DubWireless and enjoy. BTW: please don't blame me for the UI if you don't know how to use it - I'm just shipping it... ;-)
But a good tip I give every new Smartphone owner is to use the Microsoft Smartphone more form a PC point of view and less from a GSM terminal point of view... ;-)
Enjoy and keep us updated how it works for you!

I propose a litlle match in who has received it the fastest :-) Mine arrive after exactly 24 hours and 56 minutes. A Big Thumbs Up for Arne.
Although initially something went wrong with the shipments and we all had to wait until Arne could lay his hands on the d*** things, once he finally got them, he was very quick in sending them all off to their rightful (and longing) owners. The i-Mate rocks, puts it's predecessor to shame, well, almost, and Arne did a great job. Excellent service Arne, vielen dank!

Can i buy and use the IMate with my Sprint PCS Vison plan?(out of Boston, MA) I have been waiting since I first heard of the smartphone back in Jan 2002. I can't wait any more. Please let me know if it's going to be compatiable with my current provider. I have a Paypal account. Thanks Arne. Michael

@Michael J: No, Sprint PCS isn't supported with the PPCW.Net i-Mate because it's working based on GSM, not on Sprint's PCS (different standards!).
The only way to use this phone is to use a T-Mobile or Cingular or similar GSM carrier!
