Is Microsoft finally ready to release its Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh aka Tango upgrade to today's owners of Windows Phone 7? It looks like because Microsoft has just put the improvement information on its very own "Windows Phone Update History" page where it lists it as "Update 7.10.8773.98". According to these information, Microsoft highlights the following changes: "Messaging: Adds new messaging capabilities to your phone. You can now attach multiple pictures, videos, audio notes and ringtones to text messages. SIM Card: Adds features related to SIM card contacts. You can now export phone contacts to a SIM card and selectively import SIM card contacts to your phone."

Other quality improvements are said to include many other improvements to Windows Phone. However, and this sounds already disappointing is the note, that "This update is not available in all markets or for all phones".

It's expected, that Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh aka Tango will be the last major update and upgrade for the first generation Windows Phone 7 devices. Several sources told us as well as others, that Windows Phone 8 aka Apollo, will have different hardware requirements and therefore, won't be rolled-out to today's Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 7.5 Microsoft smartphones.

Cheers ~ Arne
