REVEALED: Cingular to carry the HTC Tornado as HTC 2100/2125

As Cingular leaked themselves on their website, the U.S. carrier plans to introduce the HTC Tornado Smartphone (also known as O2 Xda phone/i-mate SP5) as HTC 2100/2125.

However, unlike i-mate and O2, Cingular will use a different ID (as it looks on the screenshot) which is so far introduced/announced by Orange only and Orange will sell it as SPV C600:

There was neither a release date given yet nor a price. However, since the HTC Tornado is a quad-band device, support the for the USA important GSM bands 850 MHz and 1900 MHz is already given, it can reach North America sooner than expected since neither Cingular nor HTC has to modify the device to make it working with Cingular's GSM network.

Cheers ~ Arne
