REVEALED: First HTC Vox aka HTC S710 photo hits the Web

Over at "The Boy Genius Report", the first real photo of the previously leaked HTC Vox (which is expected to be announced early this year as HTC S710) hits the web as well as the specs were published.
According to "The Boy Genius", the HTC Vox will be a Windows Mobile 5 devices, supporting quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and featuring a semi-sliding keyboard like the P4350, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth and a 2 megapixel camera. The device is expected to sport 128 MB of ROM and 64 MB of RAM which can be extended through microSD cards.

It's still not confirmed if the HTC Vox will be the GSM version of the HTC Libra but for sure both devices looks pretty similar.
Anyway, I'm still missing the Joystick/D-Pad so I wonder how to navigate through the menus. Also I find it interesting, that the keyboard layout reminds me pretty much on Nokia S60 devices where the function key are also located left and right from the dial-pad. Something I never liked.

Cheers ~ Arne

Does WM5 for SmartPhones rotate the screen?

It must if the owner wants to use the keyboard, but i confess that i don't know if it can.

Also, this still isn't the first real photo since it isn't a photo. It's rendered.

Microsoft has the technology in place, since this is done with Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PCs already. I'm sure the current version isn't able to "hot-rotate" but I'm sure it's a question of the AKU (which AKU it will ever be).

I don't think it's rendered. Sure the Homescreen is Photoshop'd but this "Brand" thing is typical for HTC vanilla devices they show off carriers and other partners.

But the Libra was supposed to be a PPC and not a Smartphone?

Either the Vox is not the GSM version of the Libra, or the screenshot in either the Vox or Libra pictures are wrong.
