Both, FCC and Expansys are always a good source for information about unannounced devices and this time, Expansys is already announcing HTC's latest UMTS device, code-named HTC Muse.
Not too much is known today, especially it's not confirmed that it will be released with the specifications as leaked before and now by Expansys but it seems to be confirmed, that the Muse will strongly focuses on media features and includes 4GB Flash Memory. It is expected to work on Windows Mobile 5.0 and according to Expansys it is expected to be released in July 2006.

Expansys believes it will be a 3G device with HSDPA, the extension to UMTS 3G technology that improves data transfer speeds up to 1.8 Mbit but the devices should also support GSM/GPRS and EDGE as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Muse should have a square 240 x 240 65,536-colour display only as well as a 2.1 megapixel camera with Flash. There's a more basic, VGA camera on the front for video calls. To distinguish this unit from other Media focused units HTC have included a pair of integrated stereo speakers, a TV port, FM radio and 4GB of Flash memory for media storage.

So far Expansys speculations and we have to wait anyway to get it officially announced by either a carrier or a reseller like Dopod, i-mate or Qtek.

A price indication wasn't given yet and I seriously hope, that the square 240 x 240 display is a joke and will be changed for the final design anyway. If it should be a media centric Pocket PC (and for me, media also includes video, not just audio or radio) it should better has a 16:9 display.

Cheers ~ Arne

LOL! I love the FCC and Expansys also. However, FCC isn't a good source anymore since they protect all the good pdfs like photos! sad
But hey, Expansys jumped into this space now! smile

It wouldn't hurt if you could mention that it was that unveiled first image and first information about HTC Muse...

After you've posted this about me:

I dont like Arne Hess

… because he is evil and bad person. How can he mention HTC Muse and pretend that Expansys discovered it? … and not mentiong the truth: that uncovered it?

He is a vile bad person. I don’t like him.

you expect to link to you?

Also I haven't said that Expansys was the first:

I posted these things because I was angry, that you didn't mention the original source. I calmed down and removed it however shortly after posting - before seeing this comment of you about me being angry. I apologize for that. That was just anger attack - temporary and removed/redeemed already.

I also don't get it why don't you link to such things as the first in the world review of Direct Push at (done last week by your compatriot)...

I don't expect credits for everything, but Arne, please behave!

PS. feel free to remove these comments of mine and yours above - provided you mention in the content of news item, that it was msmobiles that unveiled HTC Muse first.

Arne, don't worry about the msmobile* guy ... This guy really has a problem.

Just read his "articles", and even more his comments in his very own forum. Obviously he needs some compensation for not being at legal age for driving a BIIIIG care, to compensate small things he obviously has. I was always wondering how old this guy was, he acts really silly. I do not read his site for news, i do not read his site for facts, I just read his site every sunday for having a good laugh. Better than some german talk shows, after all ("Don't feed the trolls ;-) ")

Keep up the good work! And have fun in Barcelona!
