Since yesterday, O2 Germany's latest shop flyer is available and on the preview page, O2 has announced the following two Windows Mobile devices: the HTC Tornado (which O2 Germany will call Xda phone) and the HTC Wizard (which O2 will call Xda mini S).
So far O2 hasn't given any release date nor any price indications but at least a preview what we can await before Christmas:
While the Xda mini S is in line with T-Mobile's announcement from yesterday (while O2 has already found a name, T-Mobile was talking about the MDA III follower only), the Xda phone (wonder why O2 Germany isn't calling it Xphone) isn't the "older" HTC Hurricane (as T-Mobile's SDA II) but the newer HTC Tornado which supports quad-band GSM/GPRS and which is based on Windows Mobile 5.0 aka Magneto.
There is no indication if the Xda phone will also includes W-LAN (like the HTC Tornado based Qtek 8300-series) or not. However, as you can see above, the Xda phone comes in the same stylish anthracite as the previous introduced Xda mini.
Cheers ~ Arne
