ROM: Samsung U.S. released a ROM Update for the SGH-i607 (BlackJack) [UPDATE]

Samsung has recently released a software update for its BlackJack Windows Mobile Smartphone, which Samsung recommends to install. Please note, this isn't a Windows Mobile 6 upgrade but should enhance roaming capabilities, especially internationally.
In addition, there are cosmetic user interface changes (several icons have been changed) contained within the update. The update will take about 10 minutes to complete if the system is already set up.

Please keep in mind, that this ROM update will erase all of the information on the handset. It is recommended that you sync and back up all of the data on the handset to an external medium. Also it looks like the ROM update cannot performed with PCs running Windows Vista but with PCs running Windows XP only.

UPDATE: Samsung America just informed me (thanks a lot, appreciated), that the new ROM does not contain the DST update since it's not changing the AKU version at all (so please make sure to install the DST fix again after the update).

Regarding the icons changing, its mostly to rebrand the Cingular GUI to at&t, noticeable on startup/shutdown and also in the background of the home menu (default theme) as well as a few other items now say at&t instead of Cingular (at&t mail etc.)

Cheers ~ Arne
