Do you remember the HTC 7 Trophy, HTC's smartphone which received its GCF approval two weeks ago? As it turns out now, the HTC 7 Trophy might be launched by Vodafone. At least it's now listed in Vodafone Germany's inventory system. A German/European launch makes sense since the Global Certification Forum approved it with quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as dualband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 900/2100 MHz. Furthermore, the code-name might indicate that the HTC 7 Trophy might be an upcoming Windows Phone 7 smartphone, even if an earlier leaked HTC roadmapshowed it as the HTC Trophy with Windows Mobile 6.6, which was either a typo or a reference for Windows Phone 7.
Nevertheless, it's less expectable that Vodafone will launch a Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone these days, now where Microsoft's brand new Windows Phone 7 is just around the corner.
