A Chinese forum user has posted a spec-sheet of a new HTC Windows Phone 7 smartphone which is called the "HTC Spark". According to the screenshot, the HTC Spark will be powered by a Qualcomm CPU at 1 GHz and features GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as UMTS/HSDPA (up to 7.2 Mbps)/HSUPA (up to 5.776 Mbps). The device is said to come with a 3.7" WVGA screen and a 5 megapixel autofocus camera. Somewhat unusual for a Windows Phone 7 devices is the hardware button layout because the device is said to feature a Back, Home, Start, call Send and End key while no Search key is mentioned. However, Windows Phone 7 requires a Search key and doesn't allow call Send/End keys.
The specs are either old and outdated or not true. In any case, we won't see - at this point - a Windows Phone 7 device with the described hardware button layout. Also the 512 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM are not sufficient to meet Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 specs.
Cheers ~ Arne
