Do you remember my previous posting about Orb Networks' OrbThis plugin for MyCast? Basically OrbThis lets you "import" Google Video, YouTube and Daily Motion videos into your Orb MyCast account that you can stream your favorite online videos right from your mobile phone or PDA as well. However, I've mentioned that, as nice as this feature is, it has one flaw: you have to add the videos from your desktop PC before you can watch it on your mobile device but you are not able to search from your mobile phone. Well, that's the past now because Orb recently enabled the online video search right from the mobile MyCast site of your mobile phone or PDA as well!

All you have to do is to download and install Orb 2.0 on your (always Internet connected) home PC, login to your account and go to Videos. On the bottom you find a new menu item called "Online Videos":

Open Online Videos and select at which video service you want to search for which keyword:

Orb MyCast will list you the found results and by tapping on the result, the video will be streamed to your mobile device:

Well, that's cool, especially after YouTube shuts down TinyTube (unfortunately). Okay, now - after YouTube became a serious business - I have no idea for how long they will accept this solution but for now it works, as well as it works great for Google Video and Daily Motion videos!

Cheers ~ Arne
